June is the first month of winter and Melbourne's winter weather is a little unpredictable. The temperature ranges from 3 deg C to 15 deg C, very cold in the mornings and nights and not too cold during the day unless we get wind and showers ..... and I often feel like snacking in between meals .....
Walnut Butter Cake
Ingredients used for making this cake:
A. 250g unsalted butter, 20g sugar B. 7 egg yolks C. 7 egg whites, a few drops of lemon juice,
170g sugar D. 200g Self raising flour, 2 to 3 tablespoons fresh milk E. 150g walnuts, 100g Dark chocolate chips
Method :
1. cream A till light and fluffy
2. add B and continue to cream the mixture till smooth
3. whisk C till stiff
4. mix butter mixture and egg white mixture till well combined
5. fold in sifted flour
6. add E
7. pour mixture into a greased and lined tin, place some walnuts on top of the mixture and bake at 180 deg C for about 50 minutes
