云石牛油蛋糕

嗅不到年味的除夕日。

云石牛油蛋糕



Ingredients : 250g unsalted butter, 150g caster sugar, 4 eggs, 210g plain flour, 20g corn flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 3 tablespoons fresh milk, 20g cocoa powder and 4 tablespoons hot water

Method :
1. Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy.
2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
3. Sift plain flour, corn flour and baking powder together and fold in the flour mixture a little at a time to the creamed mixture, alternating with the fresh milk.
4. Divide mixture into two portion, add cocoa paste (mix cocoa powder and hot water together) to one of the portions.
5. Spoon mixture into a lined tin and bake for about 45 minutes at 170 degree C.

I have not been baking butter cakes for such a long time, this cake is moist and delicious - it is good eaten with a cup of coffee and makes a great treat for a new year get-together.
